Established in 2009, with very few hiccups, the Monster Mash Movie Marathon Month is my way of keeping myself educated on the world of Horror, despite my disenchantment with film in general. If you're an Ottawa resident and a friend, feel free to chirp me about joining me to watch one of these little beauties. If you're familiar with this process I put myself through every year, I'll once again be attempting to blog my reviews of these films every week. Will I make it all the way through this year? Only one way to be sure.
There's no real mini theme this year, once again. I guess if you wanted to try and find one, it'd be 'movies from the last two years', which is not a theme I'm personally super stoked on. Never the less, the genre had a few hits in 2016-2017, and I intend to put my eyes to them. This marks the final year I'll be making a third of my choices from the streaming services I have access to. I find that they focus too much on new releases, and not enough on having hidden gems from the past that I love so dearly...
